At Més de Vi, every wine tasting in Barcelona combines knowledge, experience, and, above all, fun.

It is not a sophisticated, inaccessible menu, but rather a gastronomic experience designed so that anyone can enjoy and understand how food and wine complement each other.

Wine Pairing Dinner “Parés Baltà

Més de Vi's 2026 wine pairing dinner season opened with an evening dedicated to the wines of Parés Baltà, a historic family winery from the Penedès known for its organic and biodynamic approach.

During the dinner, Josep Cusiné and Marta Casas guided guests through a selection that moved from grape to grape without losing the thread of the Penedès, explaining the origin of each wine and what they have built over the years in their vineyards.

The selection featured wines made from grapes such as Malvasía de Sitges, Xarel·lo, Syrah and Garnatxa, each revealing different facets throughout the evening. Every wine was paired with a seasonal menu designed by the Més de Vi team, with dishes including scallop carpaccio with citrus emulsion, Vilanova-style xatonada, and slow cooked Prat artichoke.

The result was an unhurried dinner where each wine found its place within the menu, opening a new season of wine pairing evenings in the heart of Poblenou.

Wine Pairing Dinner “Vinyes d'Olivardots

November 27, 2025, Més de Vi hosted a wine pairing dinner dedicated to the wines of Vinyes d'Olivardots, an Empordà winery known for its work with native varieties and a farming approach that respects the land.

The evening featured Carlota Peña, second generation of the project and named best young winemaker in Catalonia by critic and Master of Wine Tim Atkin.

Throughout the dinner, guests discovered the Empordà through a selection that opened with whites made from Garnatxa gris, Garnatxa blanca and Macabeo, and gradually moved toward reds of Carinyena and Garnatxa. Each wine found its place alongside the seasonal dishes prepared by the kitchen team.

Dishes such as fried aubergine with Girona honey, fish suquet with picada, and duck magret with sweet potato accompanied a selection that revealed both the character of the varieties and the personality of a territory that Carlota Peña knows intimately.

Wine Pairing Dinner “Herència Altés”

On October 9th, Més de Vi hosted an evening dedicated entirely to Garnatxa, presented by the Herència Altés winery and featuring its founder, Núria Altés, who guided us glass by glass through the soils, aromas, and landscapes of the Terra Alta region.

The dinner began with the citrus and saline nuances of Benufet 2024, a fresh and vibrant Garnatxa Blanca served alongside an oyster from the Ebro Delta with orange and osmotically treated apple emulsion. From there, each wine was presented with its corresponding pairing, combining tradition and creativity: from Delta-style tuna tataki with Serra Blanc 2021, to a version of the popular dish La Clotxa with La Pilosa 2022, made from Garnatxa Peluda.

As the evening progressed, the pairings deepened and became spicier, culminating with La Borrassona 2022, an intense Garnatxa Negra that accompanied a confit lamb stuffed with pumpkin, plums, and hazelnuts from Reus. To finish, a late-harvest Garnatxa Tintorera paired with angel hair pastries, paying homage to the sweetness of the region.

Throughout the dinner, Núria shared with the guests the story of her winemaking project and her commitment to organic farming that respects the identity of the Terra Alta. It was an experience that celebrated the land through both the glass and the plate, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere where every detail was carefully considered.

“Juvé & Camps” Wine Pairing Dinner

On July 3rd, our venue in Poblenou hosted a highly anticipated wine pairing dinner: the sparkling and white wines of Juvé & Camps were paired with the robust reds of Pagos de Anguix in a carefully curated tasting of wines from Penedès and Ribera del Duero.

The evening began with the floral aromas and finesse of the cavas from Juvé & Camps, presented by Pepe Hidalgo, technical director of Finca Espiells, who explained how the Mediterranean breeze and calcareous soils of Penedès contribute to their freshness and elegance. Next, Óscar Roca, ambassador for Pagos de Anguix, guided the tasting of their Costa Lara and Prado Lobo wines, examples of Ribera del Duero wines characterized by their ripe fruit flavors and smooth tannins.

Each course was paired with a seasonal menu designed to enhance the nuances of both wineries, from the vivacity of the sparkling wines to the structure of the reds. The intimate atmosphere and elegant presentation made this wine pairing event an unforgettable experience.

If you missed it, watch the video and stay tuned: we'll be back soon with more wine pairing events in Barcelona.
